The best part of waking up at 4:30 in the morning, when your wife asks you "why are you still here"  haha.  Not sure if that is a sign that she wasn't totally awake or her way of saying in some sort of way that i need to get up and work out earlier.  haha.  Nice 1.5 mile swim to start the day off right :)

Why the title "Every Man Triathlete".  I work Mon-Fri, 7:30 to 4:30, just like everyone else.  I have a family just like you do.  I have responsibilities to my family just like every man does.  I am also a Triathlete.  Its a sport I am new too and have fallen in love with it.  I love training, racing, and getting to know people along the way.  So what does it take to be the Every Man Triathlete?

Dedication:  4:30am comes way earlier than you might imagine...its all worth it when touch the wall on the last lap of a 2 mile swim.

Determination:  Everyone WANTS to work to be a better athlete and be in better shape, triathletes WILL work to be better.

Devotion:  Not only to the sport itself but to the things that make it possible.  I have such a great support system everyday I walk through my front door it is unparalleled.  Without the support of my wife I could never do what I do to make myself better.

Find a cause you strive to work for and set the goal.  Is it an Ironman or a 5k.  That is your decision, now make it happen.  There are no excuses and at the end of the day, you won't want to make any.
